How To Use Your Health App Library
AARP's mission is to empower people to choose how they Iive as they age. Unlike on a normal app store, all of the apps on this library have passed the AARP Age-Friendly Assessment. This means they are all safe for you to use and carry our Age-Friendly Assessed mark. No other app store available to you has this guarantee.
The apps have all been scored, and only the apps which have passed the assessment with a high score are featured here. So whether an app has scored 65% or 95% you know you can trust it and use it to help you.
How to choose an app from the AARP Age-Friendly Library
The apps chosen by AARP and assessed to the standard of the AARP Age-Friendly Assessment have been organized into topic and condition areas to help you find what you need easily. You can find these topics from the menu at the top of every page, just select the arrow alongside the words "AARP Assessed Health Apps" and you will see all the topics listed. Select one to be taken to that page, where you will find a selection of safe, age-friendly apps, ready for you to download to your device and use.
You can also see all apps which have passed the AARP Age-Friendly Assessment in one place by selecting "Browse All Apps". From this page you can sort the apps by score and name. You can also use the filters at the top of the page to look at apps which are entirely free to download and use for example, by selecting the "Entirely Free" option from Cost.
AARP is dedicated to enriching the lives of our members and being an advocate for your needs. The apps chosen for you in each condition area have been picked with the help of ORCHA experts to ensure you have access to products and services that help those 50 and over live to the fullest.
